Saw it again read it again ! Good stuff ! In the first paragraph you reverse the east and west in the last example (Sondheim Bowie). Why?
Thanks for rereading, although this is a little beefier (450 words!). I don’t know why precisely, other than it seemed right to mix up the narrator’s outlook (not preferring one over the other).
My p/n meter goes for maintaining the pattern, unless the switch heralds a change (an escalation). Maybe just a personal preference…
